Dan McKee
October 30, 1929 – August 12, 2012

Dan McKee passed away on Sunday, August 12, 2012 at his residence. Services were on Thursday, August 16, 2012, at Lake Shore Baptist Church.

Dan received his Bachelor’s degree from Baylor University and his masters from Southwestern Theological Seminary. During his lifetime, Dan pastored several small churches, was business administrator of several larger churches and also worked for the Baptist Sunday School Board in property management. He worked with Mission Waco, and participated in Church Under The Bridge, but he was also in frequent attendance at Lake Shore Baptist with his wife, Joyce, and attended the Bereshith Sunday School Class. He developed the Central Texas Flying Club, an organization designed to teach young people about aviation. He was a member of EAA Chapter 59. He was a pilot, poet, reader, teacher, and loved all living things, great or small. Dan was involved in his children and grandchildren’s lives. He dearly loved his wife.

He was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Joyce McKee; daughters, Marsha McKee, and Carol Servello and husband John; grandchildren, Caroline Silva and David and Rachael Servello; and sisters, Marlene McKee, Bennie Weaver and husband Bill, and Judy McKee.
