Vay Joyce McKee
June 8, 1929 – April 12, 2015
Vay Joyce McKee passed away April 12, 2015 in her Denton home. She was surrounded and cared for by her children and grandchildren. A Memorial Service was held on Saturday, May 2, at Lake Shore Baptist Church.
Born June 8, 1929, Joyce was a quilt artist, pilot, Deacon at Lake Shore Baptist Church, and had a degree in Art. She was a deeply loved wife, mother and grandmother. Joyce joined Lake Shore in 1994 and blessed our church with exquisite gifts of textile art (primarily banners) that will add beauty to our sanctuary for all the seasons of the church years to come.
Joyce was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Dan McKee.
