An Open Invitation to Join Soul Friends, Sundays at 4:00

Soul Friends, a group that meets on Sundays, would like to invite anyone interested in an hour of prayer, reflection, and laughter. Initially called Come to the Quiet, a group of Lake Shore women met twenty years ago to explore ways to open ourselves to God’s spirit. At the time, the group thought six to eight weeks would suffice! Two decades later, and at least one name change, a core group, now called Soul Friends, has evolved into an ongoing conversation about spiritual formation and contemplative prayer. In more recent years, Soul Friends have taken turns leading in various forms of prayer, lectio divina, and spiritual journaling. Informally structured, Soul Friends meet on Sunday afternoons to continue our practice of the Sabbath, to listen to one another to gain clarity, to share meaningful words of love and kindness, and to develop spiritual disciplines--reading, praying, and speaking with more intentional awareness of God’s presence. Soul Friends is open to all!

When the church is open, we meet in the church library; when the church is closed (due to Covid or other concerns), we meet via Zoom. Please contact Kay Neugebauer or Martie Sauter for more information.
