Committees and teams are important in the life of Lake Shore Baptist Church, providing leadership and support in its mission and activities.
Congregants are invited to serve on committees by the Committee Coordinating Council (CCC), a group of church members appointed by the Deacon Executive Committee. The CCC solicits interest in committee participation each year in the Fall through an online survey and a paper form available in the main church hallway. Normally, each member will serve on a committee for a three-year term, and each committee chooses a chair and a vice-chair.
Teams are somewhat more informal than committees. Their members are recruited by team leaders (rather than by the CCC) and the duration of service is flexible.
